End-User Review Committee (ERC)
The ERC is an interagency committee that identifies entities for U.S. export control lists to protect national security and support foreign policy objectives.
Office overview and responsibilities
The ERC votes to determine whether to add, remove from, or otherwise amend the Entity, Military End-User (MEU), Approved Integrated Circuit Designers, Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), and Validated End-Users (VEU) lists. Voting members of the ERC include the Departments of Commerce, Defense, Energy, and State. The Department of Treasury is not a voting member of the ERC but is consulted as needed. The Department of Commerce chairs the ERC.
Submit an inquiry
If you have questions about the different lists the ERC manages as highlighted above, send an email to [email protected]. Specifically, email [email protected] in reference to OSAT related inquiries.
