Registration Information for Attendees

Registration Fee:

The registration fee for the BIS Update Conference is $1,750.00 and includes breakfast and lunch each day. It also includes an Exhibitor Networking Reception on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

The Update Conference is an in-person event only; no sessions will be recorded.

Payment Method:

Online registration is required. BIS notes there is a maximum number of attendees that we will be able to accommodate and therefore strongly recommends that attendees register as soon as possible. You may pay by credit card (M/C, VISA, and American Express) or by check. Checks should be made out to the BIS Seminar Trust Fund. All checks must be received by BIS on or before Monday, March 10, 2025. Checks must be sent by courier [e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS] to: U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, 14th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Room 1099, Washington, D.C. 20230. Attn: Angela T. Robinson.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

A refund, less a $50 administrative charge, is available for cancellations made on or before Monday, March 10, 2025. No refunds are available after this date.

Cancellation requests must be made by email to [email protected] . Please put “Cancellation Request” in the subject line.

Transferring Your Registration Authorization:

To transfer your registration to someone else in your organization, you must receive prior approval from BIS. Transfer requests must be made by email to [email protected], on or before Monday, March 10, 2025. Please put "Registration Code Transfer Request" in the subject line, and provide the new attendee’s contact information, including email address. BIS will send an email confirmation to both you and the new registrant with registration instructions. Registrations may NOT be transferred outside of your organization. Registrations may NOT be resold.

Hotel Information:

The conference venue is the Washington Hilton hotel in Washington, DC. The Washington Hilton is offering attendees a conference room rate of $276/night (single occupancy + tax) for the nights of March 17 - March 19, 2025, subject to room availability. The hotel reservation deadline is Friday, February 21, 2025.
